Bracknell: A New Community - Celebrating 75 years of the New Town

Explore the story of Bracknell New Town in this exhibition organised in partnership with Bracknell Library.
We have been busy cataloguing and conserving records of the Bracknell Development Corporation (BDC) 1949-1982 as part of the New Jerusalems new towns project funded by the Wellcome Trust.
The exhibition will highlight the work and the people of the BDC involved with planning and building the new town. Visitors will also have the opportunity to see copies of photographs and other documents to look at them in more detail.
Available 23 May to 4 July 2024 at Bracknell Library (near to the entrance of the building and the reception desk) during their opening hours:
