Armistice: How the Great War Ended

Peace? Defeat? Surrender? The ending of the Great War in 1918 – with formal peace only in 1919 – is as controversial as its beginning. This talks looks at how the War was won and lost and its immediate consequences.

Mike Cooper has a lifelong interest in history especially military and local history. He has written many books and is providing this talk to coincide with the BRO’s current exhibition “A Great Deliverance: Berkshire and the Aftermath of World War One”.

The talk will take place on Monday 22nd July 2019 at 14.00 and will last about an hour.
