Opening Hours


Normal Opening Hours

The Berkshire Record Office is open four days a week:

Tuesday: 9am-5pm

Wednesday: 9am-5pm

Thursday: 9am-9pm

Friday: 9am-4.30pm

It is advisable to book before you visit.

Please phone on 0118 937 5132 or email via the online Contact Us form to make a booking.

We are closed on Mondays, weekends and Bank Holidays.

Stocktaking 2017

This year we will be closed for stocktaking from 27th November to 8th December 2017 inclusive.

We will reopen at 9.00 on Tuesday 12th December 2017.

Christmas 2017 and New Year 2018

We will close at 5pm on Thursday 21st December and Thursday 28th December 2017.

We do not open on Mondays or Bank Holidays which means that we will also be closed on Tuesday 26th December 2017.

Full details of our opening hours for the Christmas and New Year period are as follows:

Tuesday 19th to Friday 22nd December 2017

Tuesday 9am to 5pm
Wednesday 9am to 5pm
Thursday 9am to 5pm
Friday 9am to 4.30pm

Tuesday 26th to Friday 29th December 2017

Tuesday CLOSED
Wednesday 9am to 5pm
Thursday 9am to 5pm
Friday 9am to 4.30pm

Normal opening hours will resume from Tuesday 2nd January 2018.

Easter

We normally close on the Thursday evening  before Good Friday as well as the Bank Holidays. Full details will be made available nearer the time.
