Opening Hours

Normal Opening Hours

The Berkshire Record Office is open four days a week:

Tuesday: 9am-5pm

Wednesday: 9am-5pm

Thursday: 9am-9pm

Friday: 9am-4.30pm

It is advisable to book before you visit.

Please phone on 0118 937 5132 or email via the online Contact Us form to make a booking.

We are closed on Mondays, weekends and Bank Holidays.

Easter 2018

Our opening hours over Easter will be:

Tuesday 27th to Friday 30th March 2018

Tuesday 9am to 5pm
Wednesday 9am to 5pm
Thursday 9am to 5pm

We will reopen at 9.00am on Tuesday 3rd April 2018.

[We do not open on Mondays, Bank Holidays or weekends]


We normally close for two weeks at the end of November and beginning of December for our annual stocktaking. Full details will be made available nearer the time.


We normally close on the Thursday evenings over Christmas and New Year as well as the Bank Holidays. Full details will be made available nearer the time.
